…Damaged 4 high-tension poles on Chime Avenue 11kv feeder
MainPower Electricity Distribution Limited (MEDL) wishes to inform its customers in parts of New Haven, Enugu, that the power outage currently being experienced is due to a vehicular accident that occurred at Chime Avenue, near Akalaka House, around midnight on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The incident resulted in the collapse of four (4) high-tension poles, thereby affecting the Chime Avenue 11kV Feeder.
As a result, there was loss of power supply to customers/areas served by the following transformers: Mbanefo 1 & 2, Nwokocha, Lumumber 1 & 2, Nzimiro, Bassey Duke, Udenweze, St. Rest, Akalaka House, First Bank, Neo Court Hotel, MTN Neo Court, MTN Nnaji Park, Discovery Plaza, Gabby Estate, Discovery Suite, Food Concept, Ntachi Osa, Livinston Hospital, Tastia Restaurant, and New Haven Extension.
Our technical team is working hard to clear the fault and restore electricity supply to the affected areas by end of today.
