Geregu Power Plc has unveiled its financial outlook for the fourth quarter ending December 31, 2026, anticipating a profit after tax amounting to N450.32 million.

In the forecast provided to the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), the power generation firm predicts it will achieve N10.95 billion in revenue during the period from October to December 2026. The cost of sales is estimated at N6.57 billion, aiming for a gross profit of N4.38 billion.

Operating Performance & Net Finance Costs The company expects administrative expenses to reach N2.25 billion, alongside an impairment loss on financial assets amounting to N547.43 million. As a result, the target operating profit stands at N1.58 billion.

Net finance costs are projected to reduce earnings by N911.45 million. While finance income is forecasted at N1.27 billion, finance costs are anticipated to be N2.19 billion, leading to an estimated profit before tax of N672.17 million, prior to a tax provision of N221.85 million.

Cash Flow Outlook Geregu Power foresees a robust cash inflow from operations, with anticipated cash receipts of N24.85 billion stemming from energy and capacity charges. After accounting for payments of N10.59 billion to suppliers and employees and N8.34 billion in taxes, the net cash generated from operations is expected to be N5.91 billion.

Capital allocations include N3.58 billion earmarked for major overhaul project financing and N53 million for intangible assets. Net cash increase for the period is expected at N1.97 billion, pushing closing cash and cash equivalents to N50.32 billion by year-end.

The forecast document was approved by the Acting Managing Director and CEO, Engr. Mohammed Sani Jaoji, along with the Acting Chief Financial Officer, Jesutofunmi Omogbemi.
