The severe weather threat in the Philadelphia region is over, but the storms left behind plenty of damage and knocked out power for thousands in the Delaware Valley on Thursday night.

List of outages across the Philly region as of 8 a.m. on Friday.

PECO power outages

PECO customers were the hardest hit by Thursday’s storms. On Thursday night, about 223,000 customers lost power in the Philadelphia area, a number that had improved to about 156,000 by Friday morning.

As of 8:30 a.m. Friday, Montgomery County had the most customers without power, with more than 48,000. Delaware County and Bucks County were close behind with over 41,000 and 40,000 customers without power, respectively.

Right after the storms moved through, as many as 20-25% of customers served in the counties were affected by the outages.

“Wind gusts of up to 70 mph brought down trees, tree branches, damaged our electric equipment. We’re going to work 24/7 to get everyone back on,” PECO spokesperson Tom Brubaker said.

Delmarva power outages

Delmarva Power, which provides electricity and natural gas to residents in Delaware and Maryland, was down to under 2,000 customers affected on Friday morning.

Overnight in New Castle County, more than 6,000 customers had lost their power.

PSE&G power outages

PSE&G provides electricity to New Jersey residents and outages numbered about 7,500 at their peak right after the storms. Numbers had fallen to over 3,000 by Friday morning.

Atlantic City Electric power outages

Atlantic City Electric has largely rebounded after the storms, when the utility had more than 2,000 customers without power.  Friday morning, that number was under 200.
