Ikeja Electric Announces New Prices of Prepaid Meters
Ikeja Electric (IE) has announced the new prices of prepaid meters of its vendors, effective 6th August, 2025.
According to information, the prices will remain until further review. Noted that meter prices have now been deregulated to ensure that Meter Asset Providers (MAP) are able to put in bids that reflect the actual prices of meters.
To avoid a situation in the past where prices were fixed while market conditions were changing and meter prices were also changing which resulted in a situation where after customers must have paid for meters, the meter asset providers were not able to install because the prices would have changed.
The notice on Ikeja Electric’s website stated clearly eight different meter vendors, showing the new prices of their meters.
- MBH Power Ltd Single-Phase Meter is ₦135,987.50; Three Phase is ₦226,825.00
- Turbo Energy Ltd Single Phase is ₦145,608.75 and Three Phase is ₦236,903.13
- Aries Electric Single Phase is ₦145,125.00 and Three Phase is ₦258,000.00
- Mojek Asset Management Company Ltd Single Phase is ₦135,718.75 and Three Phase is ₦226,825.00
- Paktim Metering Nig. Ltd Single Phase is ₦137,600.00 and Three Phase is ₦233,275.00
- Holley Metering Ltd Single Phase is ₦133,854.03 and Three Phase is ₦219,497.09
- CIG Metering Assets Nigeria Ltd Single is ₦150,500.00 and Three Phase price is not indicated
- New Hampshire Capital Ltd Single Phase is ₦133,300 and Three Phase is ₦231,125.00
Ikeja Electric notified, “Note: All prices are valid subject to meter availability!”.
It is crystal clear that the prices of meters are unstable due to the aforementioned reasons.
The views of customers is that the installation of meters within the stipulated time after payment is very important as some customers are complaining of late installation after payment.
