At the 20th Nigeria Oil and Gas Industry Games, NLNG wins overall

At the 20th Nigeria Oil and Gas Industry Games (NOGIG), which concluded Saturday in Abuja,NLNG was voted Overall Champion and Best Sports Company after a dominant demonstration of physical prowess and teamwork.
Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), the reigning champion, finished second with 49 medals (14 gold, 15 silver, and 20 bronze), while Team NLNG took the lead with an astounding 52 medals, including 20 gold, 16 silver, and 16 bronze.
TotalEnergies placed fourth with 15 medals, while the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) took third place with 18 medals.
Renaissance, Oando, Seplat Energy, PTI, NUPRC, ND Western, Chevron, NMDPRA, ExxonMobil, Shell, and Aradel were among the other prominent attendees.
The biennial competition, which took place from February 8–14, 2026, commemorated 40 years of solidarity, cooperation, and athletic brilliance in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
Olakunle Osobu, the Deputy Managing Director, led the NLNG delegation at the Abuja Stadium and praised Team NLNG for embodying the organization’s basic principles on and off the field. “This triumph demonstrates the tenacity, discipline, and solidarity that characterize NLNG,” Osobu stated.
