Sunbeth Energies Limited has expanded its self-service fuelling network to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, with the launch of its third station in Nigeria, reinforcing its push to transform the retail fuelling experience through technology, convenience and greater customer control. The new outlet, located in Ada George, marks the company’s expansion into the South-South region, building on its existing self-service operations in Lagos and Abuja.
The development underscores Sunbeth Energies’ commitment to deploying innovative solutions in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector, enabling motorists to complete fuelling transactions conveniently while maintaining access to customer support.
The company said its self-service stations had recorded a 100 per cent transaction success rate, with zero service downtime since September 2026, with the performance measured by customers’ ability to complete payments and dispense fuel without transaction-related difficulties.
Sunbeth Energies attributed the operational performance to its collaboration with technical partners, Techbroker and Fuelmetrics, as it continues to strengthen the reliability and efficiency of its technology-driven fuelling model. The Port Harcourt launch builds on the experience gained from its existing outlets and reflects the company’s efforts to establish a retail fuelling system centred on convenience, transparency and customer confidence.
At the Ada George station, customers can pay for fuel through card payments or bank transfers. Instructions displayed at the pumps guide users through the payment process, fuel dispensing and transaction confirmation. To ensure a smooth transition to the self-service model, customer assistants are available to guide motorists, respond to enquiries and provide support where necessary.
Speaking on the expansion, Bunmi Isijola, Chief Operating Officer of Sunbeth Energies, said the company’s self-service model was designed to enhance customer choice rather than eliminate human interaction.
“Self-service is not about replacing people; it is about giving customers greater control over their fuelling experience while creating new ways for our people to support and serve them,” Isijola said.
She explained that customer assistants were trained to guide motorists through the process, answer questions and provide assistance whenever required.“As we bring this experience to Port Harcourt, our commitment remains the same: to make fuelling more convenient, transparent and reliable for every customer,” she added. With the latest expansion, Sunbeth Energies now operates self-service stations in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt, extending its technology-driven retail offering across three major regions of the country.
The company’s approach reflects a broader effort to integrate digital payment solutions and customer-focused technology into everyday petroleum retail operations.By combining automated transactions with on-site human assistance, Sunbeth Energies aims to improve the customer experience while promoting greater transparency and autonomy at the pump.
