DisCos Announce Power Interruption In Lagos As TCN Commences Maintenance July 28

DisCos: Ikeja Electric (IE) and Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) have announced that the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) will carry out scheduled maintenance on the Omotosho–Ikeja West 330kV transmission line.

According to the information on their social media accounts on Friday, the maintenance exercise is expected to run from July 28 to August 21, 2025, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm daily.

The DisCos said the planned TCN outage will lead to load shedding across their respective network coverage areas, clarified that it is not going to be a total outage during the maintenance period.

“During this period, customers may experience intermittent power supply and load shedding across our network due to the planned TCN outage.” the notice read.

“We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause.” Ikeja Electric said.

Eko DisCo said the outage is necessary to allow safe execution of maintenance work on the power line and apologised for any resulting inconvenience.
