Abuja DisCo Announces Blackout, Blames Technicalities

The management of Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc (AEDC) has blamed the current blackout in the areas its covers on technical faults.
In the statement released by the DisCo, the intervention of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) would be needed for repair.
Customers in Jahi, Central Business District, Mpape, Maitama, Minister’s Quarters, Wuse Zones 1-7, Wuse II, Area 8, Jabi, Efab City Estate, Parts of Life Camp, 9mobile Office, International Conference Center, Area 10, Sahad Stores, NERC, Federal Secretariats, HOS and its environs are affected, according to the DisCo.
“However, efforts are being made by all stakeholders who are on site to rectify the faults.”
The DisCo said that the power supply would be restored as soon as practicable. “We apologise for the inconvenience,” Abuja DisCo red.
